1. Introduction

Feel ("we," "us," or "our") is a weather app that translates forecasts into human, sensory-led descriptions. This Privacy Policy explains how Feel handles information when you use our iOS app and this website at feelweather.app.

Feel is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require an account, we do not operate our own user database, and we do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking in the app.

2. Information We Collect

Feel collects and uses only the information needed to provide weather descriptions for your locations. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:

• Location data (optional): If you grant when-in-use permission, Feel uses your device location to fetch local weather and display your current city. Location is not required — you can use saved cities instead.
• Saved locations: Cities you add as favorites (name, coordinates, timezone) are stored on your device.
• Weather data: Forecasts fetched from Apple WeatherKit for the coordinates of your current or saved locations.
• App preferences: Settings such as units, theme, and personality mode are stored locally on your device and shared with the Feel widget via Apple's App Group on the same device.
• Shared content: If you choose to share a weather card, the image is generated on your device and sent only through the iOS share sheet to destinations you select.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or payment information through the app. City search uses a bundled GeoNames database on your device — search queries are not sent to external servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

Information is used solely to operate Feel and improve your experience within the app:

• To deliver real-time, location-aware weather descriptions
• To save and display your favorite cities and offline weather snapshots
• To sync data between the Feel app and its home screen widget on your device
• To apply your display and unit preferences

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

Feel does not transmit data to a Feel-operated backend. The following Apple services may receive data necessary to provide app functionality:

• Apple WeatherKit: Receives geographic coordinates to return weather forecasts. Apple's privacy policy applies to that data.
• Apple MapKit: Receives coordinates for reverse geocoding (converting location to city name and timezone).

We do not share personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or other third-party services beyond what is required for Apple platform features described above.

5. Location Data

Feel uses your device's location only when you grant when-in-use permission, and only to provide weather for where you are. You can deny location access and still use the app with manually saved cities.

Location coordinates may be sent to Apple WeatherKit and MapKit as described above. Location data is not sold to third parties or used for advertising purposes.

6. Data Retention

Saved cities, weather cache, and preferences are stored on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Weather snapshots may be retained locally for offline fallback. We do not retain copies of your data on Feel-operated servers.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding personal data, including:

• The right to access information we hold about you
• The right to request correction of inaccurate data
• The right to request deletion of your personal data
• The right to withdraw consent (for example, by revoking location permission in iOS Settings)
• The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Because most Feel data is stored on your device, you can delete saved locations and app data directly in the app or by uninstalling Feel. Contact us if you need assistance.

8. Security

Feel stores data locally on your device using Apple's platform security features. Data shared with Apple services is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we design Feel to minimize the data that leaves your device.

9. Children's Privacy

Feel is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may also be communicated through the app where appropriate.
